Central Finland has been well-known for its strong ICT background and its application in various fields, including the social and health sector. Jyväskylä University and Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences altogether strengthens the regional ICT expertise both academically and practically, particularly in cyber security, machine learning, and AI (Artificial Intelligence), among which cyber security plays a central role. This expertise is applied in combination with wellbeing services to utilize the regional health care resources and promote ICT application in the social and health sector. Besides, developing capability for innovation and employing digitalization in the field of social and health are significantly crucial in maximizing the expertise of social and health care professionals while stimulating regional wellbeing.
